I started raising money for Toybox on 25th August 2023, and to date £244.03 has been raised by my lovely Folksy customers, £236.03 of which was transferred to Toybox between 20/11/23 and 9/12/24.
A message from Toybox: Please pass on our thanks to everyone who purchased your jewellery, as this gift really will help to change the lives of the children with whom we work.

Full description
A lovely gift for someone special: some pretty freshwater pearls which have been dyed a lovely mint green shade, ideal for summer. The shape of the pearls is slightly asymmetrical; these are often referred to as potato pearls. The close-up photo shows the detail.
Each pearl is 7mm to 8mm in diameter. They have generally smooth surfaces with a few minor flaws and a good lustre. I have strung them on silk: the traditional medium, and have knotted between each pearl, an old-fashioned technique that ensures a good drape and also security in the unlikely event that the silk breaks.
I have finished the necklace with sterling silver findings: a tiny bead, French wire (gimp) and a trigger clasp.
I have two of these necklaces available. On necklace is about 50cms (20 ins) long, the other is about 47cms (18.5 ins) long. Please choose the length you require when ordering. Your necklace will be sent wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and posted in a sturdy cardboard box for safe travel.
WHEN YOU BUY THIS ITEM £5 WILL BE DONATED TO TOYBOX, A CHARITY HELPING STREET CHILDREN ACROSS THE GLOBE. This amount is calculated by subtracting materials and admin costs from the price of the item. I do not charge for my time in making it.
