Full description
This wooden yarn bowl is made from locally grown kiln dried Ash wood. The size is suitable for any size yarn, from fine to chunky.
After turning it has been sanded beautifully smooth, and then given multiple treatments of finishing oil. To finish, the bowl has been waxed then buffed to a very beautiful sheen that also allows the yarn to glide unhindered around the inside of the bowl. This bowl is not only functional but very tactile too.
IMPORTANT NOTE: THE PRICE OF THIS BOWL IS REDUCED AS THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE OUTER SURFACE OF THE WOOD, TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE HOOK. I HAVE SHOWN THIS CLEARLY IN THE SECOND PHOTO. It is mainly a visual defect now that cannot be felt as it has been treated. In no way does it interfere with the function of the bowl. The rest of the grain in the wood is absolutely beautiful.
