Ever since I was a small child I've had a fascination with Russian dolls, which inspired me to create this design. I love working with applique and I've carefully chosen co-ordinating fabrics. I enjoy hand embroidery and I've used this to add the facial features to the doll. I hope you will enjoy the finished design as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Full description
A lovely tote bag in a pale blue fabric with a delightful appliqued Russian doll. I've chosen pretty co-ordinating fabrics in lemon yellow with orange roses and white polka dots for the doll's clothes. The hair is a lovely rich brown velvet. The face is embellished with black sequin eyes and I've hand-embroidered the mouth and rosy cheeks. The bag is fully lined with lemon polka dot fabric to match the doll.
Bag measures approx. 15" (38cm) H x 13" (33cm) L x 2" (5cm) W. Handles are of a length that can be worn on the shoulder or hand-carried.
Perfect for use as a shopping bag but pretty enough to be used as a handbag.
