Inspiration for my work comes from the idea of finding beauty in the function of simple pots. We all use ceramics in our homes everyday. Taking time to drink tea from a favourite mug or eat soup from an honest bowl can be a simple, background pleasure in life.
I throw all my pots by hand on a pottery wheel and enjoy developing my own designs. I use stoneware for most of my pots because I feel the firm texture of the clay best reflects a rustic influence and the plain style of my pottery.
Most of all I hope people enjoy using my pots.

Full description
This stylish modern cylinder bowl is ideal for fruit and other displays. It is handthrown in stoneware clay and decorated with a speckled blue glaze on the inside and a white glaze halfway down the outside. The rest of the base of the pot is left unglazed to reveal the natural colour of bare clay.
This bowl is a one-off piece.
Both glazes are food safe and dishwasher safe (although for larger pieces I recommend hand washing). This bowl has my own unique pottery seal near the base. Please note that slight variations in glazing and decoration are a nature of handmade ceramics.

11cm high (4 inches)
