I am happy to wrap and send gifts direct to recipients with a note - just specify their delivery address when you check out (I use track 24 or special delivery so you can follow it round the country to the recipient). I cut and polish my own fordite, surfite and bowlerite, I'm happy to take commissions. If I don't have shipping to your country set up please drop me a message as it might be possible.

I love fordite (also known as motor agate) - the ultimate in upcycling as a lot of this material was just thrown away until someone had a brain wave and started polishing it. Experts (of which I'm not) can tell you which factory it came from and when based on the colour palette. Due to changes in the way that cars are painted and the formulation of the paint you don't get modern fordite so when all the rough out there is polished that's it no more fordite. I have a few more cabochons from the same parcel of rough but no pairs, if you would like a ring or necklace making then drop me a message.

Full description
This is a non matching pair of cufflinks - for one cuff a cabochon of fordite bezel set in sterling silver, for the other a car hand made in sterling silver. Both are finished with hand made sterling silver chain and bar cufflink backs and make the ideal gift for the petrol head in your life who occasionally has to smarten up. Fordite is made from layers of cured car paint removed from the rails in the spray booths at the old ford factories - this material has layers of mid blue, silver, white and red suggesting it came from the Dagenham factory in the 70s- 80s. So these are ideal present for a man who loved his ford cortina, fiesta, escort or capri!
The cabochon is approx 17mm diameter and the car is 22mm from bonnet to boot.
Come presented in a hand folded box - ready for gift giving (can be sent direct to the recipient with a hand written note if you like).
