Full description
There's something special about wheel-thrown rustic ceramics made with care and attention to detail. I love one-off ceramics like this plate for all these features. The stoneware clay is strong. The plate feels sturdy. The turned out rim has several ridges accentuated by fine lines of cobalt oxide. The dipping method has produced a band of almost white offset from the centre which adds to the plate's unique appearance.
Ideal to serve bread, cakes, biscuits etc and beautiful just on its own.
