I decided on a modern off-centre design for this unique one off quilt - using two long panels of the Princess and the Pea fabric to frame a stack of prints looking just like a tower of mattresses.
Although the piecing and fabric choices give a modern feel, I wanted this quilt to look timeless. I machine quilted the circles close together and then washed and lightly tumble dried it to create a lovely wrinkled antique look with defined quilting ridges that are gorgeous to touch.
