Please enjoy browsing and should you buy a doll she will be packaged in an organza bag. I have been given literally hundreds and will use them until they run out rather than let them go to landfill. Also I have been asked why I don't often repeat combinations of fabric with the dolls. It is because I tend to buy remnant stock where I can, tiny pieces of fabric that are too small for most people to use. So often I have only enough to make one doll. Thank you and my warmest wishes xx

The fabric was the starting point, the rabbit print is japanese and to coordinate I upcycled my Uncle Jim's walking shirt for her knickers and underskirt. I think she hangs together well and has a very wistful expression.

Full description

Ida is an original handmade cloth doll, she has a tea dyed calico body and has a hand painted face with hand stitched eyebrows and eyelashes. She holds a checkered heart and is dressed in a mixture of new and recycled fabrics which include a lovely japanese print in navy and rabbit. Her hair is soft fawn wool tops and it is hand stitched and styled.

She is the smallest girl I make and stands 12 inches tall and is made to my own pattern. She sits nicely on a comfy chair or a bed or she has a ring on her back so that she can hang on a wall.

She is not a toy and sadly is not for children.
