This print is inspired by the incredible carved stone arched doorway of a small medieval church in the county of North Yorkshire, UK. One of the beakhead beasts is slightly misaligned as if he might fly away at night and rejoin the flock at first light.

ORIGINAL lino print - 'Birkin Beakheads II'
This is an original reduction lino print (limited edition of just 10 in these colours). Printed from a hand-cut lino plate in shades of blue onto Zerkall printing paper. The printed area is approximately 29x18cm. It is supplied in a white mount to fit a 40x30cm frame. These items are hand-printed and so vary slightly depending on ink density, character of the paper, pressure of the press and the way the wind blows (ok, maybe not the last bit).
Please note copyright remains with the artist, Alison Deegan 2013.
