Full description
It's made from a stoneware clay which was first fired to 1000C before glazing and then refiring to 1220C which makes it a very strong, durable and watertight vessel.
The glazes have reacted and moved so wonderful together on this bowl that it has a very delicate but fluid feel to it. The inside of the bowl is a predominantly a glossy milky coffee colour with small crystal formations developed as the glaze cooled. The outside of the bowl was glazed with a chocolate brown and yellowy cream and has the wonderful coffee glaze running down the sides into it.
