This design has evolved out of a more formal range called Mondrian Meets Mackintosh which took inspiration from the broad decoration schemes of the artists Piet Mondrian and Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
This clock, while still loosely based on squares and rectangles in the decoration, has become much freer in the use of shapes, edges, overlaps, and the use of varied colour.
A clock like this is a lot of fun to make, with the final result unknown until it emerges from the kiln following the glaze firing.

Full description
This rectangular wall clock has an attractive design loosely based on rectangles of very variable rich glazes. The overall colour scheme mainly consists of rich oranges, reds and browns, with a few lighter and darker contrasts.
The glazes were built up in layers of different thickness, and in the high temperature stoneware firing they then flowed, merged and interacted with each other to give the finished result.
These wall clocks are individually handmade and decorated in the UK by New Zealand-born artist John Fraser.
This rectangular clock has sides to it and measures 10 inches high by 6.5 inches wide (25.5cm x 17cm). The hour and minute hands are silver coloured, and the second hand is an unobtrusive matt black. The German clock movement is very quiet and reliable.
My intention is that you find this rectangular clock both useful and beautiful. This clock would look great in most kitchens, where parts of the clock's decoration would pick up wood, slate, lino, or tile colours.
