I wanted a celebration of spring, growth and the colours of the sea. I was having fun and experimenting with different ways to use bead weaving. Hopefully the result is joyful, exuberant and beautiful.

Full description
A lovely, blue and green necklace in a rather baroque style, the centre of the necklace is a dark green piece of sea glass which is heart shaped.
This piece is one which grew almost of it's own accord, I had a vague plan to make a necklace which included the paisley shape, which I have mostly made into brooches in the past. I allow the beads to dictate what happens next and just keep working until it feels finished. It sounds chaotic, but most of my best stuff is made this way.
Included in this piece are a couple of deep blue Swarovski style crystal flowers, they might be vintage ones, I bought them in a bag of 'stuff' which included a lot of dross and a few lovely things like these.
The necklace is twisted and rolled and has holes in it, all designed to echo the sea which creates the materials I work with.
This piece wouldn't suit the shy and retiring, but someone with a strong sense of their own style would love it.
