The porcelain mugs are a spin-off from my 'Last of the Melting Snow' series. I wanted to show off the unique penguin images and designed this form to do this. The image is adapted from a photograph of my cat 's paw print in the snow.

A hand thrown porcelain mug with penguin design.
'Paw' from the 'Yellow Peril' range featuring Hiroyuki, Moriko and Yuki. This piece has been handmade by myself. I have thrown it on my electric wheel. It is made from porcelain with a white glossy glaze. After the bisque and glaze firings I apply the ceramic transfer. This is one of my unique penguin images adapted from photographs I have taken from the penguins' journey.
Size: width 75mm x height 90mm approximately
