When I first discovered melted glass in ceramics I loved the contrast of the rough matt fired clay and feminine aura of the glass. I wanted to combine the two in a mature way to make a piece of peaceful beauty. They remind me of rock pools at the beach, pools of spring water, - life.
* This is not for food use.
* It can be washed gently using a soft cloth and mild detergent.
* You will recieve one very similiar to the one in the photo. Each of my pools are unique and slightly diffferenet celebrating the true nature of studio pottery and handmade.

A handmade stoneware ceramic bowl with a beautiful blue pool of melted glass in the centre.
This is a beautiful bowl to keep your precious objects in or just enjoy as a lovely piece of art that will sparkle on a windowsill.
They can look amazing as part of a wedding's table decorations or as a wedding favour.
I hand built this bowl, textured it and then added the detail before bisque firing. I then washed it with an oxide and painted in the detail. Two glazes were applied to give the bowl extra depth. I then fired it a second time to 1220C with recycled glass in the base which melts and pools.
Approximately 7 cm wide and 2.5 cm high at it's highest.
