Welcome to my Folksy shop in which you will find a variety of hand-stitched accessories for you and your home, many of which make lovely (and easy-to-post) gifts. I stitch in a variety of styles, combining traditional embroidery with other textile techniques such as felting, weaving, hand dyeing and silk painting. Vintage linens and fabrics re-stitched into unique gifts and accessories may be found at my second Folksy shop 'LynwoodcraftsRecycled' where you will also find vintage sewing supplies including vintage lace.
A lovely spring scene, of grazing sheep, their lambs, and tiny daffodils has been stitched onto the felted background of this embroidered brooch. A lovely gift for Mother's Day or Easter!
The background of this brooch has been created from a collection of green and blue yarns, felted to a commercial felt background by an embellisher machine. Wisps of cloud are formed from un-dyed merino fibers. Tiny sheep and their lambs are stitched, in white merino yarn and black embroidery thread. The daffodils in the foreground are stitched in merino yarn and yellow embroidery thread.
The back of the brooch is neatened with felt and a brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
Height: 7 cm approx.
