This ceramic bowl combines a vintage lace crochet texture with subtle blue grey details and a contemporary shape. In this way I try to create handmade pottery bowls that will stand the test of time.

Full description
I pressed vintage lace into the clay whilst it was still soft to create intricate pattern and texture in the surface of this little bird shaped ceramic bowl, and added grey-blue glaze to the imprints.
The underside is unglazed with a little fabric texture.
There are many uses for the little blue bird. You could use it to serve a few nuts or snacks as it is a pleasure to hold, or keep it by your bed to keep earrings safe, use it as a little soap dish or put a little candle in it at night.
The colour and texture inside are so pretty you might decide to keep it empty for decoration.
It measures approx 3.5 x 4 inches and is 1.25 inches tall.

Please note - I made a couple of these and each one is unique. Yours might vary very slightly but it will be very similar to the one pictured in the main image, and I promise that it will be equally pretty.
