Full description
Brilliant red poppies amongst ripe ears of corn under a lovely blue sky. This design has proved popular on embroidered brooches from Lynwoodcrafts. A pendant is also available.
The background for this embroidery is a piece of hand made felt produced from merino, mohair and silk fibres. Distant poppies, daisies and corn are stitched in embroidery thread. Poppies in the middle distance and foreground are stitched in sheer ribbon. The nearest flowers are stitched from the widest ribbon to create depth in the design.
The barrette is reinforced with plastic cut from a recycled bottle. The design is framed by crocheted cord made from a cotton yarn in a golden beige colour. The back of the design is neatened with felt and a standard hair clip is securely stitched in place.
