I love stitching miniature landscapes. Whilst trying to decide how much of may lace stash to keep, this idea occurred to me. I like the result and will be stitching more like this!

Full description
A pretty spring landscape, with a tree covered in blossom stitched over a landscape background of layered lace, forming the design of this hand-stitched fabric brooch.
Scraps of lace have been layered and hand-stitched over a background of white felt. A tiny tree, with pink blossom has been hand-stitched in coordinating linen thread. Tiny french knots in yellow thread suggest daffodils. The completed design has been reinforced by a layer of interfacing. The design has been finished by stitching over the edge in blanket stitch using coordinating cotton threads. The back of the brooch is neatened by a layer of felt and a brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
Diameter - 5 cm approx
First Class postage is included free of charge.
