Full description
A beautiful display of roses in shades of gold and cream are hand-embroidered onto this brooch.
The background is hand made felt, appliqueed onto a fleece fabric, which has been heavily embellished with several layers of leaves, and French knot buds, to give depth to the design. The roses and rose buds are embroidered in knitting ribbon in a random dyed mixture of oranges, golds and creams. The ribbon embroidery stitches used give further relief to the design.
Couched ribbon in random shades of green and yellow frame the design. The brooch is reinforced by plastic cut from a recycled bottle, The back of the brooch is neatened with felt and a brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
