My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, inspired by the natural world and those important people in my life. I love the combination of image and text, so my own cursive writing frequently plays an integral part.

This print was made after the most fabulous anniversary weekend away; a couple of restful days in a beautifully rustic countryside cabin, with a cosy log burner and books and wine a-plenty. Perfect!
The image, of course, takes me right back to this specific time and place, but its wider appeal is in the representation of a moment of calm, quiet cosiness.
The print started with my own photographs and sketches, with the decided composition drawn onto a traditional hessian backed lino, which I then cut and burnished onto a beautiful Japanese off-white 'Hosho' paper.
The paper measures 39.5cm x 28cm, with the printed image itself measuring approx. 30cm x 20cm.
This is a small edition of just 12 prints, printed in a raw umber oil based ink. Each is numbered, titled and signed and having been printed by hand, slight variations from print to print will occur; such is the beauty of a unique, hand-crafted piece.
Your print will be posted to you wrapped in tissue and rolled within a cardboard tube. On its arrival, remove the print from the tube and allow it time to unfurl. (Lying the print on a flat surface under a heavy book may help to speed up the flattening process - do not be tempted to roll the print in the opposite way as this will almost certainly result in creasing and possibly in damaging the print).
