Knitting Pattern for the Royal Diamond Beanie hat featired in Simply Knitting magazine
Knitted from the brim to the crown in the round, starting with an unusual stitch count twisted rib which very neatly takes you into the colorwork body. The 2 coloured geometric pattern of the beanie is worked in stranded knitting. The pattern is gradually faded out at the crown shaping to give a glorious floral top.
Finished size:- Circumference 51 (56) cm/ 20in (22) in
Yarn:- West Yorkshire Spinners, Fleece (DK weight; 100% British wool; 225m / 246yds per 100g skein). Yarn A Ecru (001);1 x 100g skein. Yarn B Foxglove (1111);1 x 100g skein.
Needles:- A set of 3.75mm (UK 9/ US 5) circular needles. A set of 4mm (UK 8/US6) circular needles & DPN's.Stitch marker.
Tension:- 1 pattern repeat of chart A is 5cm wide by 4cm high.
