Full description
I've created these cards as though they were fragments from an old museum collection or Victorian natural-history catalogue, combining my own photography with handmade, specimen-slide-inspired mounts, aged papers and curious catalogue labels.
The labels are deliberately part of the fiction - rather than simply identifying what is pictured, they offer little descriptions, observations or interpretations, giving each image the feeling of an entry in a much larger, imaginary collection.
The result is part photographic archive, part museum ephemera and part cabinet of curiosities - something that looks as though it might have been discovered tucked inside an old catalogue or forgotten museum drawer.
Each card is assembled by hand using my own photography and a mixture of papers, printed elements and vintage-inspired details. I love the idea that each piece feels like a small artefact from a collection that never quite existed.
