“I wanted to create a cheeseboard that combined beautiful natural timber with a little bit of humour. Monkey Puzzle wood has such incredible character, and I wanted the grain to be the star of the piece while adding an engraving that would make people smile every time they used it.
The words ‘Everything Tastes Better on a Board’ seemed like the perfect message because, let's be honest, food really does feel a little more special when it's served on a beautiful piece of handmade wood! The traditional cast iron ‘CHEESEBOARD’ handle adds another touch of character and gives the piece a rustic, timeless feel.
My inspiration was to make something that's not only practical, but also a talking point around the table — a piece that can be used, enjoyed and hopefully bring a smile to people's faces for years to come.”

A beautifully handcrafted cheeseboard made from stunning Monkey Puzzle wood, featuring exceptional natural grain patterns, knots and colouring that make this piece completely unique.
Measuring approximately 8 inches wide, 11 and a half inches long, and 1 and a half inches thick ,the board has been carefully shaped, sanded and finished to bring out the natural character of the timber. The beautiful swirling grain gives the board plenty of visual interest, while retaining the practical feel of a traditional wooden serving board.
Adding a little humour and personality is the engraved message:
"EVERYTHING
TASTES
BETTER
ON
A
BOARD"
And, to finish it off, the board features a sturdy cast iron handle with "CHEESEBOARD" inscribed into the metal. The combination of natural Monkey Puzzle, engraved lettering and cast iron gives the piece a wonderfully rustic and timeless character.
Perfect for serving cheese, crackers, cured meats, grapes, fruit and other delicious nibbles. It would make a fantastic addition to a dinner party, family gathering or cosy evening with friends — and an excellent gift for someone who believes that pretty much everything tastes better when served on a beautiful wooden board!
As with all handmade natural timber pieces, no two boards are ever exactly the same. The grain, knots, colours and markings are completely unique to the piece of wood used.
