Full description
Working in sterling silver I design and make jewellery in my workshop based in East Yorkshire. I use traditional jewellery making techniques, piercing out shapes with my jewellers saw, filing, soldering, hammering, engraving & metal stamping.
This narwhal brooch is inspired by my love of these majestic creatures and the sea.
I have used a piece of African turquoise to create a backdrop, adding peridot, larimar and labradorite cabochons. (African turquoise is in fact a beautiful type of jasper and I love it for the earthy colours that can be found in this stone). Oxidised finish.
Hallmarked by Sheffield Assay Office, this brooch is sterling silver with a stainless steel pin for added strength.
Measuring approx 35mm across / 60mm drop.
