I wanted to create a piece that showed Galatea as being a strong independent woman despite having been made by a man who couldn’t find his perfect woman. This Galatea has a secret smile, she knows Pygmalion cannot control her completely.

Full description
This piece was created based on the Pygmalion myth. Galatea was craved from stone. You can find the story of how and why I created her the way I have in my instagram. The piece is unframed but is ready for hanging. It is 26cm x23cm. It is ideal for lovers of Greek Mythology and any one who needs reminding of their inner strength.
