Inspired by the joyous, vibrant May celebrations of Jack in the Green in Hastings. Jack, the huge dancing foliate effigy is flanked by his men, the Bogies who are very naughty indeed! With their green tatter clothes, ivy crowns and green faces, they are the backbone of the procession and this is my homage to them!

Full description
Handmade stoneware ceramic wall plaque of Bogie Basil, one of Jack in the Green's henchmen. Basil is always there to ensure that Jack has room for dancing, a clear path to process and plenty of beer to keep him going! Beware he doesn't get you with his little green sponge. Bogies are green all over.....!
Basil is lovingly glazed with a matt finish face, with glossy hair and a beard and a green glossy ivy crown. He also has a cheeky nose ring! A wire hanger is on the back for hanging.
I AM A STONEWARE CREATION - I can be safely hung on an outside wall or in your garden.
