Hello and a very warm welcome back to my creative space! I am so incredibly happy to introduce this fine art print to you, titled "Hair in Blue."

As a Sierra Leonean-British artist, my creative work acts as a personal bridge between my two cultural worlds. With this portrait, I wanted to explore form and vibrant framing. The artwork beautifully balances the fluid, soulful line rhythms found in traditional African portraiture with a sleek, contemporary Western design aesthetic.

"Hair in Blue" centers on a quiet, graceful presence and large, expressive eyes that instantly connect with the viewer. Whilst I love working with grounding, natural colors for the skin and background, I chose a striking, vibrant cobalt blue for the hair and matching attire to frame her face beautifully. The neckline features delicate, patterned ink details reminiscent of traditional West African clothing motifs, contrasting beautifully with the solid block color.

Whilst this listing is for a premium A3 print, it is incredibly important to me that my collectors know the backstory: the original artwork was entirely hand-drawn using professional fine-ink technical pens and colored pencils, rather than being digitally created.
