I was kindly donated a stash of old tea towels, and this cute one with its gentle sheep was in the pile. It may be as old as 1970’s, and is possibly from America. It has cleaned up nicely as a drawstring bag.

Full description
A drawstring bag upcycled from a lovely old vintage linen tea towel, with a border of four sheep along the bottom and a floral sprig background in ivory and ochre.
The back has been made from a pretty tablecloth that had seen better days. I have kept its lace edged border, and added some vintage ric-rac braid in pretty retro colours.
Drawstring bags are useful little storage items. This one would make a great Easter present, as storage for soft toys or as a pretty shoe bag.
This is an old tea towel with a slub in the linen weave. It has been backed with recycled cotton fabric to strengthen it, and it is lined in a vintage fabric with a charming print of farms and animals.
When laid flat it measures 36 cm x 41 cm / 14 inches x 16 inches
The back is made of a section of a white vintage tablecloth with its lace edging, and decorated with 2 rows of vintage ric rac braid.
The pull is a pale blue vintage cotton twist, and the ends are finished with flower heads.
Please wash on a gentle setting and leave to dry naturally.
Drawstrings can be dangerous. Please keep away from small children.
Your order will be wrapped in clean, recycled wrapping and sent as RM 2nd class.
