Safety information
Caring for a wax-finished wooden bowl is simple, but it does require a bit of gentle handling to keep the wood looking good. Hand wash using soap and water and leave to air dry. Avoid long soaks in water and never wash in a dishwasher. Not suitable for microwaving. Your bowl will be dispatched to you in recycled, eco-friendly and plastic-free packaging, and this can be put into composting or your paper recycling bin. All my bowls are finished with a homemade wax finish containing carnauba wax and food safe mineral oil

Recycled oak bowl made from wood salvaged from an old oak bookcase, finished in Shou Sugi Ban (or yakisugi) a traditional Japanese method of preserving wood by charring its surface with fire, creating a durable, fire-resistant, and insect-repellent material.
