My work is inspired by a smelting pot of nature, folklore and pagan ways as well as the Medieval and Celtic aesthetic synonymous with the Arts & Crafts movement. I strive to capture the organic essence of a subject through colour and light, and combine traditional glasswork techniques with contemporary soft solder and metalworking methods to create detailed, textural pieces that feel both modern yet timeless.

Buzz buzz buzz! Freeform buff-tailed bumblebee hand-crafted from alternating textured stained art glass with soft solderwork and copper wire details indicative of the Tiffany copper foil technique:
Wispy black and cheerful egg-yellow Oceanside Pearl glass have been carefully selected and hand cut to create this striking, stripey bumblebee; a pair of shimmering iridised glass wings help bring to life this much-loved fuzzy, buzzy garden companion. Finished with decorative wirework and solder details in a traditional dark pewter patina. Ready to hang.
