This piece was inspired by the flowers it contains - those beautiful roses inspired the colour scheme as pink is not a colour I use very often. I used water colour powders to create the background and deliberately chose not to add the stamping and stencilling you will find in much of my work. I'm really pleased with the outcome and I hope you love it too.

This hand-crafted mixed media plaque is a little moment of calm for your wall. Built on a wooden base it features a soft painterly background with washes delicate pink watercolour powders and subtle texture.
Layered over the surface is a curated collection of embellishments - paper florals, metallic leaves, a butterfly, an ornate frame and a vintage style specimen label - each chosen to create a sense of nostalgia and quiet wonder.
At the heart of of the piece sits a small metal plaque reading "take your time" offering a gentle grounding message for busy lives. Every element has been arranged with care to bring depth, dimension and romantic whimsey.
