Inspired by folk art insects and the quiet symbolism of the moth, this piece combines traditional woodcut-style engraving with bold colour contrast and delicate lunar detail.

Full description
A miniature piece of folk-inspired celestial art, carefully spray painted and laser engraved in my studio.
This 7.5cm square canvas features my original moth design, inspired by traditional folk illustration and vintage woodcut printmaking. Crescent moons and delicate botanical details are engraved into the wings, giving the piece a subtle mystical feel.
Each canvas is first spray painted in a rich purple tone. The design is then laser engraved into the surface, revealing the natural canvas beneath and creating beautiful contrast and texture reminiscent of relief printing.
Canvas size: 7.5cm x 7.5cm
Overall size including wooden easel: approx. 12.5cm high x 8cm wide
Canvas is spray painted before engraving
Design is laser engraved
Original artwork
Freestanding wooden easel included
Each piece is individually made, so slight variations are part of its handmade character.
