The inspiration for this design comes from the strong geometric lines and layered colour often found in Art Deco work, combined with the natural flow of a fish in motion. The use of multiple pink and purple tones allows the piece to shift between light and shadow, while the varied textures introduce a sense of depth. The intention is a distinctive, thoughtfully made object with its own character, designed to sit comfortably in a window where changing light can bring out the full range of colour.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.

Full description
A hand crafted stained glass fish in an Art Deco–inspired style, made from nine different shades of purple and pink glass arranged to create a clear sense of movement and variation across the form. Each section has been chosen for its tone and texture, so the colours shift subtly when light passes through, and the textured pieces add depth without overwhelming the overall shape. This is a unique design created by Rowan Handmade.
The finished piece measures approximately 12 cm in height and 15 cm in width, including the hook. There is a single hanging hook on the reverse, and for stability it is recommended that this is fixed to two points when displayed in a window.
Each fish is cut and shaped by hand using the traditional Tiffany foiled glass method. Every piece of glass is edged with copper foil, soldered, and cleaned. Craft glass naturally contains small variations and character marks which make every piece unique, and the colours shown in the photographs have been captured as accurately as possible.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
