This piece began as an exploration of how stained glass can shape space, not just colour it. I wanted to create something useful — something that would sit on a desk or worktable and quietly brighten the day. The three‑sided form came from watching how light moves across angled surfaces, catching on edges and shifting across the glass as the sun changes.
It was also inspired by the tools that make creativity possible: the paintbrushes waiting in a jar, the pencils worn down from sketching, the scissors that always seem to disappear. I wanted to give those everyday objects a home that felt intentional and beautiful. Making this pot was a reminder that even the most practical things can carry a little magic when shaped by hand.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

Full description
This three sided stained glass pot is a small piece of functional art, handmade using the Tiffany copper foil technique. Each panel has been carefully cut, foiled, and soldered to form a gently faceted shape that catches the light from every angle. The glass brings a soft glow to your desk or studio, turning a practical object into something quietly beautiful.
The pot is perfectly sized for paintbrushes, pens, pencils, scissors, or small tools, keeping your creative space tidy while adding a touch of colour and craftsmanship. The soldered seams give it strength and structure, while the open top and triangular footprint make it stable and easy to place on a crowded workspace.
Please note the pot is not watertight.
The finished item measures approximately 14 cm high by 8 x 8 x 8 cm wide.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
Price is for the glass item only.
Postage cost is for a medium parcel, tracked delivery. My apologies for the additional cost but this item will need to be well wrapped to get to its destination in one piece. Any unused p&p costs will be returned to the buyer.
