I love Liberty fabrics and I love Grayson Perry an artist and observer of modern life, so the two things came together beautifully when Perry designed this fabric in celebration of Liberty of London's centenary.

Full description

Handmade zipped accessory bag created using the artist Grayson Perry's fabric design for Liberty of London. The outer fabric is Liberty's beautiful Tana Lawn cotton and it has a Czech glass beaded zip pull closure (detachable) The lining is yellow cotton fabric. Dimensions: 22 x 16 x 8.

The 'Shirley Smith' design featured here is based on Perry's fictional alter-ego, who believes herself to be the rightful heir to the Wallace art collection. Perry is known for his ceramic and tapestry designs and his sharp observations of the contemporary arts scene and wider society. He takes delight in dissecting British "prejudices, fashions and foibles"
