Full description
Made or the recent Profanity Embroidery Group exhibition on the theme of Library, this is not just my take on a cover for Margaret Atwood's 1985 novel, but also a comment on the situation in which we currently find ourselves.
When Atwood wrote the book, she clearly stated that it wasn't exactly fiction - that all the events had happened or were happening in the world as she wrote. It is however beginning to seem as though some would use it as a guide book.
Red cotton, watercolour, felt and hand embroidery.
The piece is framed in a white A4 size frame, ready to hang.
