Full description
Completely unique, hand made A5 hardback journal / sketchbook with 72 plain white pages.
This fabric is really special! It depicts scenes from Paris including flower sellers, and the book and art sellers you see along the south bank of the River Seine. It is around 80 years old but the colours still look like it's brand new. I've had it in my collection for a while and it was hard to cut into but I think it's far too beautiful to be hidden away.
This book is made with care from high quality 100gsm smooth white paper which is carefully hand cut, folded, stitched, and glued. It is then casebound using high quality book board covered with genuine vintage cotton barkcloth fabric from the 1940's.
This design is also available in A6 and 10 x 10 Size (Shown in last two photos) and a pencil case.
Every book I make includes a ribbon page marker, and coloured end-papers made from high quality Canford paper, hand picked to match one of the colours in the fabric design. This book has a red satin ribbon and matching end papers.
Suitable for a range of media including: Graphite pencil, coloured pencils, gell and rollerball pens.
This book is a one-off, entirely hand made by me in my bookbinding and art studio in Oxfordshire.
Pencils are for display purposes only and not included with the book.
