I love a card that’s more than a card. I wanted to make things using my illustration skills as well as fulfil my need to invent and play. I love little things like this, so hope others will too.
I am inspired by vintage cards and book, the way I print and card I use gives a mat finish and is evocative of ladybird books, which I love.

Full description
I love creating cards because they are an affordable piece of artwork, something small, but meaningful. These are more than just cards. They’re little keepsakes that can sit on a shelf as decoration, a memento, a souvenir, or as part of your home décor.
They sit in that lovely space between card and gift, something you can buy for yourself or give to someone special, whatever the occasion.
Each design is illustrated by myself using sketches from my sketchbooks as references and inspiration.
This card features the view down Union street in Ryde on the Isle of Wight. My playful learning style means I develop ideas through experimentation do an idea will evolve naturally.
Every card is printed on recycled card stock at home, then carefully cut and assembled by hand in my studio ‘The Hive’. They come protected in an eco-friendly, biodegradable sleeve.
Each card measures approximately 10cm x 10cm. And has roughly a 2 cm depth when folded out, but folds flat to pop in an envelope.
