The cup shape is based on a 9th century find from Hemse (Gotland) and is thought to have originally been inspired by a Chinese Tang Dynasty style.

This hand thrown and hand glazed stoneware mug features a beautiful combination of lustrous flowing green glazes on both the interior and exterior.
Each mug is handmade and hand glazed in our Yorkshire studio and every mug is unique; subtle variations in form and glazing reflect the artisanal nature of the process.
