I wanted to create a joyful experience and object using my illustration skills and imagination. It was created with young at heart adults in mind (like myself) but also older children. I would have loved this as a child.
Its joy is in the feel of the packet, with a softness to the recycled card, its clever way of folding up with no need to glue or use plastic. It can be made and popped away, or put on a shelf as a display. I like the way of creating a narrative that’s your own, something different from a book or simple picture.
I like to celebrate the place I live and its beauty, making good quality items to do this has been my passion since 2011.

Full description
Inspired by vintage souvenirs and traditional pastimes, this cut out and make pack is designed to bring a smile, both while making and when on display. It’s designed to sit on a shelf.
Perfect for older children and young at heart adults, it makes a thoughtful gift or a lovely treat for yourself.
Inside is a backdrop for your made elements. The pack is postcard size when folded, with 8 A6 cards inside, 5 with cut out elements, one with simple instructions and links to a video tutorial and 2 fact cards.
When not on display, it can be packed away and stored like a book.
You can be assured it has been designed, illustrated, printed, and made by me in my home log cabin studio, The Hive, on the Isle of Wight. I only use recycled card, which gives the product a nostalgic, vintage feel, similar to the pages of a Ladybird book and all my packaging is eco-friendly too.
The story behind my products, and the impact they have on the world, is an important part of everything I make.
