The idea for this collection came from a love of pixel art and the nostalgic charm of traditional cross-stitch. I wanted to create something more than just a disposable greeting—a card that feels like a tiny, tactile gift in itself.
I chose this vibrant, rainbow-striped palette to capture the energy and joy of being eight years old. There is something incredibly grounding about the 'stitch by stitch' process; it ensures that every card carries its own unique character. For me, an 8th birthday is a wonderful milestone, and I wanted to design a keepsake that parents or grandparents would feel proud to tuck into a memory box or pop into a frame for the nursery wall
