Alpaca is a beautifully soft yarn and having met the alpaca this yarn came from I was determined to weave a piece that showed off the yarn. I also wanted to use this particular weave pattern which has many variations.

Full description
This cosy scarf was handwoven using alpaca yarn, from a local alpaca herd - "WhyNotAlpacas" and recycled wool / cashmere yarn from "innouli" ( processed from shoddy).
The weave pattern - diversified plain - uses thick and thin yarn in both the warp and weft.
The scarf is 145 cms x 22 cms including the fringe. The scarf has been hand washed.
