I wanted to create a painting that had a dream like feel to it, a bit nostalgic. I was really missing my dad and the fantastic holidays we used to have as kids in north wales. A watercolour feel is want came to mind to achieve this feel so I really diluted my acrylics with medium and worked in layers blending as I went. I think it worked, I hope you like it.

Full description
This piece is inspired by so many trips to both Scotland and Wales where you can sit at the edge of a lake and stare across to the distant hills and mountains beyond and just be in the moment. Watching the light dance across the slops while its reflections sparkle off the lakes clear surface is a moment to get lost in.
This painting is all about taking the time to notice the little things in life, breathing them in.
Dimensions: the painting is 8"x6.75" and framed its 12"x11". This paint comes with a little strut so can be either hung or stood up on its own.
