It all started with one vintage curtain, imagining how beautiful it would be as a bag, deciding upon the best measurements for an everyday bag, one that could contain work items, knitting, a little bit of shopping. I sat down at my trusty sewing machine and the bag came to life and then an adventure to source more vintage curtains.

Full description
A bag that had a past life - it was once a curtain! Stitched, slowly and thoughtfully from upcycled vintage curtain fabric. It has given new life to beautiful material, truly one of a kind.
The name ‘Maria’ is a nod to the iconic film ‘Sound of Music’ where curtains were inventively upcycled.
