Nature never ceases to take my breath away. Do you feel the same? I am constantly amazed by the beauty of trees. Their grounded presence can be a reminder to take a moment for stillness and reflection. They stand firm whilst the world changes around them and as the day's light moves across them. I hope that this piece brings many moments of stillness and reflection to its new home.

Violet Twighlight II
Inspired by a magical moment at dusk when the fading sunlight seemed to make the world stand still, highlighting the textures of roots, branches and earth.
The beauty of this original painting is that it will react to the light in a room at different hours of the day, constantly revealing itself in subtle new ways. I have used metallic paints to recreate the glimmer of the golden light shining through leaves. The black ink also has a gorgeous sheen that catches the light from different angles.
