This pretty fabric gift tag is no ordinary gift tag!
You can attach it to a gift for someone, and rather than throwing it away, it can be re-used for years to come as a handy bookmark, and a reminder of the special gift you gave them.
Or, you can use it as a bookmark for yourself.
Made from two layers of cotton calico, the front features a fabric collage with a mix of fabrics in a fresh spring colour palette of green and white.
The lino printed embellishment, designed, hand cut, and printed by myself, is layered on top with hand stitched details, and below, a fragment of vintage cotton lace doily.
A hole is made at the top of the tag with a special tool, then neatly hand stitched, and a co-ordinating fabric tie finishes the tag off beautifully; you can leave this poking out the top of your book to keep your page.
The tag could also be framed and kept as a miniature piece of textile art.
Can also be used in journals and scrapbooking.
Tag measures approximately 5 x 3 inches (13 x 7.5cm).
