There is something very special about a truly handmade item

Hello! I'm Mandy,
I work from my home studio, in Nottingham UK, creating mixed media textile art and hand stitched accessories, that I would love to share with you.

I've recently started using hand painted fabrics in my work; creating my own mix of colours inspired by my walks in nature, and with these I create my unique handmade items, adding texture with stitch, and sometimes incorporating a nature inspired motif or two with my own lino cut designs.

I take a mindful approach to my work, both in the way I stitch, and in the sourcing of sustainable fabrics, often using pre-loved and vintage finds that I repurpose; making every effort to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Everything I create is 'totally hand stitched' and handmade by me, and can take me many hours to make; no sewing machines are used in the making process.

I believe there is something very special about a truly handmade item, you not only receive the creation, you also receive a little piece of the creators heart within that creation, making it extra special!
