My partner had a "rings & things" trinket dish I had gifted them from a charity shop. I wanted to make more as gifts so I mimicked the structure by using cardboard and built clay up around it before painting and adding gloss.
I wanted to add more of a fantasy/medieval vibe to it so I painted a stone brick-like structure over the top.

A handmade clay "rings & things" trinket dish (can also be hung as I included a small screwhole).
This was made across several days as i had to let the clay, paint and gloss all dry separately.
I used air dry clay, acrylic paint and clear gloss - there was also an underlayer of cardboard used to create the structure.
