US and EU CUSTOMERS PLEASE READ. Unfortunately, due to tariffs imposed by the US government in 2025, we have been forced to increased our postage costs to the US to include new tariff costs. For EU customers, unfortunately due to new EU law passed in 2024 we are unable to sell to countries within the European Union. This new law has made it almost impossible for small businesses like ours to sell to the EU due to strict requirements and cost. We are so very sorry about this, we really wish things were different. Gail & Alex xx

Another book made by Gail from recycled packaging. This one is A5 sized with x pages ready and waiting to be filled with stories, ideas, thoughts and pictures.
The sections are interspersed with illustrations of old maps of tidal rivers around Britain.
Because this book is made from recycled materials, there will be slight flaws and signs of wear.
The label on the front has an interesting story. The template (not the writing in the centre) was designed and made by the famous wood engraver, Thomas Bewick in the 18th century. Our ancestor, Cuthbert Roddam, was apprenticed to a bookseller & stationer a few doors from Bewick's Workshop in Newcastle upon Tyne. When Cuthbert went into business for himself, he bought the woodcut from Bewick to use as his business card and bookplate. And now, here I am, using it over 200 years later!
