This bag was made using fabric from a much loved local sewing shop that has now closed its doors. When the shop closed, only a small amount of this beautiful butterfly print fabric remained, so it was carefully turned into a limited collection of handmade bags rather than being left unused. Each bag in the range was thoughtfully cut and sewn to make the most of what was left, creating practical, well made pieces that carry a small reminder of a local shop and the creative community around it.

This handmade boxed base tote bag is part of a small limited range of coordinating bags, all made from the same vibrant Fabric Freedom Butterfly Print Melody Fanric
The outer fabric is 100% cotton, 150 gsm,
in rich mango tones of orange and yellow, featuring an all over butterfly design.
The bag is fully lined with smooth orange polyester satin, 100gsm giving a soft, wipe friendly interior and a striking contrast to the outer fabric.
The boxed base creates extra capacity and allows the bag to sit neatly when filled, making it practical for shopping, books, craft supplies, or everyday essentials.
Short matching fabric handles are securely stitched and comfortable to carry by hand.
The bag has been carefully constructed by my wife throughout and reflects its handmade nature.
I have two of these bags, price is for one.

The boxed base measures approximately 22 cm x 17 cm
The bag measures around 42 cm seam to seam
The total height from the base of the box to the top edge is approximately 30 cm.
